FPSC Announces Special CSS Competitive Exams 2023 Online Application
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has declared the commencement of the Special CSS Competitive Exams 2023. This examination aims to fill vacancies that have remained unfilled through previous CSS exams. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online before . The written part of the Special CSS Competitive Examination is scheduled to be held on 12th October 2023, except in Gilgit and Muzaffarabad. Interested candidates who have already qualified for the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) held on 21st May 2023, can apply for the written part of the examination.

EXTENSION IN CLOSING DATE
FOR WRITTEN SPECIAL CSS COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION
Reference FPSC Public Notice dated 23rd July, 2023 regarding Written Special CSS Competitive Examination. The last date for Online Application Submission is 15th August, 2023 according to said Public Notice. However, the NTC has informed that due to some technical problems, the official website of FPSC may face disruption during 13th – 16th August, 2023.
- In view of the above technical difficulty, the Commission has extended the last date for submission of online applications upto 18th August, 2023. Accordingly, the last date for submission of hardcopy of online application alongwith requisite documents will be 28th August, 2023.

Important Dates and Exam Details of the CE-2023 Special Exam
The written part of the Special CSS Competitive Examination is scheduled to be held by the FPSC from 12th October 2023 (Thursday) onwards. The examination will take place in various cities, as specified in Rule 3(3) of the Competitive Examination Rules 2019, with the exception of Gilgit and Muzaffarabad for administrative reasons. Candidates who have successfully qualified for the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the Special CSS Competitive Examination, conducted on 21st May 2023, are eligible to apply for the written part of the exam. The last date to submit the online application to FPSC is 15th August 2023 now 18th August 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for Special CSS Exam 2023
To apply for the Special CSS Competitive Examination, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. Provincial/Regional Quotas
Candidates must belong to specific provincial or regional quotas to be eligible. The eligible quotas are as follows:
– Punjab Minorities only
– KPK Women + Minorities
– AJK Minorities only
– Sindh (R) – Open for all candidates
– Sindh (U) – Open for all candidates
– Balochistan – Open for all candidates
– Ex-FATA – Open for all candidates
2. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have at least a 2nd Division Bachelor’s degree.
3. Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age for the Special CSS Competitive Examination. No further age relaxation is admissible in any case. The cutoff date for age determination is 31st December, 2022. Candidates born on or before 31st December, 1987, and on or after 2nd January, 2002, are not eligible for the examination.
4. Deadline for Documents Submission
The cutoff date for determining the eligibility of candidates in terms of age, qualification, domicile, etc., is 31st December, 2022. All candidates must submit requisite documents complete in all respects before this cut-off date. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of their candidature as per CSS CE Rules, 2019.
5. Provisional Admission
Candidates will be provisionally admitted to the examination at their own risk, subject to being found eligible in all respects. After the announcement of the written examination result, detailed scrutiny of applications will be conducted, and any ineligible candidate will have their candidature canceled and rejected, irrespective of their performance in the examination. To avoid inconvenience, candidates must ensure they fulfill all requirements of the rules relating to the CSS Competitive Examination before applying.
Application Procedure
Candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for the Special CSS Competitive Examination:
1. Examination Fee Deposit
Before 15th August, 2023, candidates must deposit the examination fee of Rs. 2200/- in the nearest Government Treasury/State Bank of Pakistan/National Bank of Pakistan. The fee should be deposited under the account head “C02101-Organs of State Exam fee (FPSC Receipt).” A challan form for this purpose is available on the FPSC website.
2. Online Application Submission
Candidates must submit their online application on the FPSC website by 15th August, 2023. They should carefully choose their optional subjects from the list provided in Appendix-I of CSS CE Rules, 2019, and select their preferred Examination Center. Note that subsequent changes in optional subjects and Examination Centers will not be allowed.
3. Hardcopy Submission
Candidates must send the duly signed hardcopy of the online application, along with the original Treasury Receipt and attested copies of their Matric certificate, Intermediate certificate, Graduation certificate, degrees, CNIC, and domicile, to FPSC. The documents must reach FPSC before 25th August 2023. Applications received after this date will not be accepted, and the candidature will be rejected.
