What is the function of the water vascular system in echinoderms?
A. Circulation of blood
B. Movement and feeding
C. Excretion
D. Respiration
Echinoderms:
Echinoderms have a unique water vascular system that uses a network of canals and tube feet to move and feed. Water is taken in through the madreporite, a small opening on the surface of the animal, and is then circulated through the system, which allows the tube feet to extend and contract, enabling movement and feeding. The water vascular system does not function for circulation of blood, excretion or respiration.
